this painting is amazing. it visually describes how i feel all the time.

if you are going to ny for any reason go and check out this show. it revolved around a non official collective of 30 artists that were living in Brooklyn and area in the 70’s and early 80’s. they were focusing on minimal and and conceptual art. its actually a really amazing show. one that inspired me more then i thought would.
there was this moment when i realized that the met probably had at least one jacques-louis david piece. that was when i started to run frantically from room to room looking for a sign that said neoclassical. and all i kept running into were caravaggio pieces (im pretty certain jacques is my french soul mate). this whole situation was resolved by finally asking for help. and then i ran. and saw this.
and this. and i fell in love all over again.

and lets not forget the francis bacon show. i was amazed by how candid the show was in its descriptions of what he was going through in different periods of his life. Like for example this period of time was when Francis and his lover were fighting. wtf?!?! it was like this awesome tale of this lovers gay lovers and how they affected his work. i was like dang, i understand. i think the most compelling part were these intimate photos and recreation of his studio. it pretty much ruled.
